Syracuse women’s lacrosse has been ranked No. 6 in the Inside Lacrosse Preseason Poll. The Orange face three of the five teams placed ahead of them and 11 teams overall this season.

SU sits behind two ACC teams to start the year, falling two spots below No. 4 North Carolina and five behind No. 1 Boston College. The Eagles have beaten the Orange in each of their last seven matchups and ended their season the last two campaigns. SU will host BC in the regular-season finale on April 17.

Also ahead of Syracuse is No. 2 Northwestern. The Orange lost the season opener against the Wildcats last season and play them on Feb. 25. Another early clash against a top-ranked team comes in SU’s second game on Feb. 15. SU travels to Maryland to play the No. 7 Terrapins.

The Orange enter their fourth season under head coach Kayla Treanor. Last season, SU’s highest ranking of the year came at No. 2. Syracuse opens 2025 on Feb. 7 against UAlbany.
