Four-star edge rusher Jarius Rodgers out of Orange Park, Florida, has committed to Syracuse, 247Sports reported Monday. Rodgers becomes the top recruit in SU’s 2026 class and is its ninth commit overall.
At 6-foot-5, 193 pounds, Rodgers is the No. 23 player in Florida. The edge rusher held offers from schools including Notre Dame, Florida State, Georgia Tech, Boston College, Illinois, Nebraska and Kentucky. He received a home visit from SU defensive ends coach Nick Williams on Jan. 16, committing 11 days later.
He visited Syracuse this past weekend with multiple other 2026, 2027 and 2028 recruits. In his junior year at Fleming Island High School, Rodgers recorded 51 tackles and nine sacks. Syracuse’s 2026 class ranks second in the ACC and 11th in the nation.
